Oh just uploaded the new textures to the itch.io pages. Worked out pretty well, needs a bit more ironing out of the shadows and stuff but definitely looks more natural and a little darker and cleaner.
This version of RE4HDProject will be released in a few hours (that’s if it goes well) so I will have some more news coming your way in the next few days as there’s some fine tuning needed that I am doing at the moment.
Resident Evil 4 is an action role-playing game, developed by Capcom for the PlayStation, in 1997. The gameplay is similar to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, although each character has access to different weapons and items. The game features five playable characters, each with a different storyline that can be selected by branching path choices during dialogue. The player is helped by the game’s companion, Ada Wong, who aids the player in combat, and they can further assist by completing side quests. After the third mission, a Rookie Mode is unlocked, allowing the player to play as Jill Valentine with a different order of missions. The missions are accompanied by the game’s narration, voiced by Marc Diraison.
I started working on the Resident Evil 4 textures about a year ago. I got pretty far, but because I was focusing too much on the textures instead of the actual game, I had to abandon the project. I still have the project files if anyone is interested.
Currently, I’m working hard on the graphics of the RE4HDProject for the Wii. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to make a lot of posts as my progress is pretty slow while I’m working, so definitely keep an eye out!
