None of the changes I’ve mentioned are dramatic. None of the changes in Photoshop Elements 2019 will upset most users. But they all add up to a more sophisticated experience while also dialing back the clutter of the interface, and to some extent, a feature-rich but more intuitive application.
Every time I open Photoshop Elements I am amazed by the level of control that is available. A budding photographer can use this to hone her skills and make images that would have taken hours to create in the past. With the host of brushes, faux grain effects, realistic modeling, and other features, users can create images that are often indistinguishable from a professional photographer.
To make it easier to see the brush, you must set the Brush Tip Size to a size larger than 1; refer to this section to learn how to do this. All of the brushes that you create from within the Brush tool can be set to Brush Size 24.
Brush Tip Size controls the size of the brush tip, the point of closest contact between the Brush tool and what you’re painting. We like to use the Brush Tip Size setting when painting with the Brush tool, because it makes sure that a brush stroke always ends properly, no matter how hard you press. You can always change the brush size by selecting the Brush size option on the Options Bar menu.
