Hi friends, I’m a long-time customer of Photoshop with a ton of hours invested (as is evident by the amount of apps I have installed). I have a general question about the image viewer and/or the “smart filters”. I am always having images that are clipped on the top or bottom (or side) since I mostly crop my images. My question is: Is there a way to retain the remaining part of the image that is not cropping, so that I can crop later for the image to fill my print size? I noticed that as I reframe the image that a lot of the top and bottom is cropped too. I don’t think there is a way to get this to happen, so is there a workaround for this? Thanks!
This new cloud-based Photoshop features a host of aggressive changes. Important tools include Content Aware Fill and Content-Aware Move. The latter (part of Content-Aware, Modify) is located in the process filter and editor menu options, rather than Zooming and Image Processing. Now, there is a new option for Content-Aware Fill that makes it even better. Give the Content-Aware Fill layer a name, and it will create the color and opacity of any solid object (e.g. the rim of a red table) to fill the empty area automatically (with the exception of transparent areas like white canvas).
The new blend modes (which are frequently used in other Adobe programs) are now available in Photoshop so give them a try! Their names are convenience words, not any reference to the objects they were designed to help blend. Some shall remain a mystery.
The next is the Gradient tool and it does the same as the Fill tool. When you use the Gradient tool there are 6 options you can pick from. You can choose a solid color, a solid color with a gradient, a gradient with a gradient, a gradient with a pattern, a pattern with a solid color, and a pattern with a gradient. When you use these options work just like use the fill tool. The one difference is that you can choose from a number of gradients to work with. If you choose the solid color option you can make any solid-colored fill using the color option you chose.
The next is the Cliff Rectangle tool. The Cliff Rectangle tool can be used to create multiples of any shape, picture, or image. When you use this tool you will be able to create the exact shape you need with the click of a button. You can use the shapes to add anything on your image.

Photographers can also use Photoshop’s Photo Filter feature to change the look of an object, as well as rotate a photo or distort the appearance of an image.
There are also some options in the Edit Menu that let users invert, rotate, flip, letter by letter, and add frames to a photo. There is also an interpolation option that lets users use a combination of color and detail to provide an alternative result. In addition to this, the new version of Photoshop also supports rotation and resizing along with the addition of new effects. The new effects included in the update are Distort, Retrograde, and Sponge, which let users create various images in a variety of ways. We’re pretty sure the developers also considered all these and developed this as a response to the user’s queries.
These are some of the top Photoshop features; however, this is just a start. Creative professionals can also save money by using some of Photoshop’s shortcuts and tools to quickly edit photos and other graphics. If you use Adobe Photoshop on a regular basis, it’s time you started saving because Adobe plans to improve Photoshop yearly.
